Alternate Text It is the birth place of Saint Vitthalnath, who was the son of famous Saint Ballabhacharya, the founder of Pushti Marg-A school of Vaishnav Cult. The reason behind the name Aacharya Koop is, at the time of birth of Saint Vitthalnath, his parents Saint Ballabhacharya and his wife were on journey of spreading the message of Krishna devotion in 1572 AD, when Vitthalnath his second son was born. Because of the journey is compulsory, they abandon his newly birth son in the Koop(well) and complete their journey of spreading the message of Krishna devotion. While returning back they take their son back from the Koop, between this period the Koop was take care of their son. Then his place is famous as Charnah Dham and has been the main meditation & devotion centre for the followers of Pushti Marg.

A majestic building (Baithak), in the memory of Saint Ballabhacharya has been constructed here which represents an architectural marvel. This place is also known as Gupta Vrindavan amongst the followers of Pushti Marg. Acharya Koop's (Well) pure water along with the climate of this region is supposed to be very congenial for good health.
