Alternate Text This is a Lord Shiv temple. The shivling of Gangeshwarnath temple was found by flood of river Ganga because of this it became named as Gangeshwarnath. At that place where temple is situated there was earth mound in earlier history. Once in rainy season the earth mound flowed with flood water of river Ganga and the shivling is shown. Then a person who resident there was try to take off the shivling to the nearest Panchdev temple, but after many meters of digging he find the shivling is endless in the deep earth, so he decided to made the temple there and named it “Gangeshwarnath”. After many decades or centuries when the Mougle came here then the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb try to examine and dig out this shivling but he also failed to do so. Then he leaves the temple and goes back.
